]]>Who’s ready for St. Patrick’s Day?? Are you decorating for the upcoming rainbow and gold Irish holiday? Last year I created some fun St. Patrick’s Day art prints using stripes with a gold clover in various color schemes. I’m still loving those colors for St. Patrick’s Day and created another free St. Patrick’s Day printable – a Kiss Me I’m Irish art print in 4 different color options – black, kelly green, light green and mint green. And who doesn’t love those gold lips?? Totally digging them right now!
All you need to do is download the PDF file in the color of your choice by clicking on one of the boxes at the end of this post. Then print on white cardstock on your home computer or take to a local print shop like Office Depot or Staples.
Once you’ve downloaded & printed your file onto cardstock, simply cut along the lines with a paper cutter or scissors to create an 8×10 inch print. Then insert into a picture frame and you’re all set!

]]>I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned my mint love before, but just in case…I LOVE anything mint! Oh yes…remember my Dark Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn??? Yum!! And don’t even get me started on those Girl Scout Thin Mints!! You all know about those yummy Shamrock Shakes from McDonald’s that pop up this time of year, right? Well, I decided I wanted to make my own at home with an added bonus – Oreos!! Now that, I’m sure you can’t resist – an Oreo Shamrock Shake. Delish!!
To make my Oreo Shamrock Shake I used:
2 cups of vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup milk
A tiny drop of mint extract
Green food coloring (4-5 drops)
3-4 Oreos, crushed
Whipped cream (not pictured – oops!!)
Simply add your vanilla ice cream, milk, mint extract and food coloring to your blender and mix well. Now here’s the tricky part…crush your Oreos (either by hand directly into your shake, or place in a plastic baggie and crush) and then FOLD the Oreos into your shake. Don’t blend them in like I did the first time because it doesn’t look pretty, trust me! Spray your whipped cream on top, add an Oreo to garnish and don’t forget a cute straw & matching flag (wink).
I had to use the cute straw flags from the Anders Ruff St. Patrick’s Day collection I purchased last year – so cute!! I love the pink, gold & emerald green color scheme!
What do you think?? Gonna give it a try for St. Patty’s Day next week??? I guarantee I’ll be making this again next week, and actually I think it’s a delicious, refreshing treat for any time of the year! Mint Oreo shakes are just fabulous all year round!

]]>So, I’ll admit it…I don’t really do a lot of decorating for St. Patrick’s Day. How about you?? I just don’t get into it like most other holidays and there’s not a lot of color options – green and what else??? But then I remembered that gold is obviously a St. Patrick’s day color, so I got all excited about using gold for some St. Patrick’s Day stuff. I love a good art print or subway art for holiday decor because it’s so easy. You just download, print and place in a frame. Instant cuteness and festivity!
As you may recall from my Valentine’s Day art prints, I’m currently loving bold stripes and gold together (especially black & white stripes!), so that’s just what I made for St. Patrick’s Day! Some free printable St. Patrick’s Day art prints in bold stripes with gold accents. And, I couldn’t decide which color combinations I liked best, so I’ll leave it up to you! Choose any of the 6 options I created.
As always, I recommend using white cardstock and either printing at home or at your local office supply store. Office Depot is my fave! Bring your own cardstock and it’s a lot cheaper.
My current crush – black and white stripes with a gold clover!
This is a fun light green and white stripes one, again with the gold clover.
Black & white but with a traditional green clover and a touch of gold lettering.
It’s a little hard to tell in the pic, but this is a darker kelly green with a gold clover, for a more traditional St. Patrick’s day color scheme.

]]>I’ll admit I don’t do a lot to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and what I choose to do has to be very quick and easy so I’m sharing these Super Simple St. Patrick’s Day cookies with you today. They’re so easy you can whip them up in no time with only a few ingredients and your kids (and husband) will love them! These are seriously my hubby’s favorite cookies!
2 boxes of white cake mix
1 cup of butter, softened
4 eggs
2 cans of cream cheese frosting
Green food coloring
Green sugar crystals
1. Add cake mixes, softened butter and eggs to a large bowl and mix until well-combined. Add green food coloring and stir until desired color is achieved.
2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
3. Once cookies are very cool, spread a generous amount of cream cheese frosting between two cookies to form a sandwich.
4. Roll edges in green sanding sugar and serve.
See, I told you – super simple! You’ll definitely want a glass of cold milk handy when you eat these bad boys – they’re delicious and I challenge you to eat just one!
