To welcome all the guests to the party, I had an easel displaying this welcome sign to direct them to the party room. I forgot to take a picture of the large sign, but here’s what it looked like.
In the party room we had a long island where all the food, desserts and a hot cocoa bar were set up. In the center of the island I placed a glass vase filled with aqua and silver ornaments. White tree branches with silver and aqua snowflakes were placed in the vase for some height.
A small cake and chocolate cupcakes in coordinating aqua, silver and white were served to the guests.
I used my Silhouette machine to create a snowflake banner that said “Hailey’s Winter Wonderland” which was strung across the front of the island.
A hot cocoa bar was set up for the girls to warm up with after the ice skating activity. Kraft covered drinking cups were embellished with ribbon and snowflake stickers. The girls could choose from mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, crushed peppermint and Pirouette cookies to add to their hot cocoa. Little tags were added to the wooden scoops for an extra touch.
The birthday girl requested a chocolate fountain that grandma had and the girls could choose different fruits and cookies to dip into the fountain – they loved this!
Each of the guests took home a white mug filled with a packet of hot cocoa, taffy and a chocolate dipped spoon.
Here’s a picture of the chocolate dipped spoons before they were packaged up and placed in the favor bags.

]]>I’m excited to share with you another fabulous dessert table created by my amazing friend Toni. I’ve shared with you her cool Black+Red Graduation table and her adorable Monster Party – she always does such a fabulous job!! Today I’m showing you a beautiful Winter Wonderland dessert table with a color palette of white, light blue and silver – so pretty! Toni created this table for her daughter that just returned home from an 18 month LDS mission in Peru. To celebrate, friends and family were invited over to welcome her home!
There are just so many little details that I love about this dessert table display. First, the colors are perfect for a winter celebration – the cool blue paired with white and silver is just fabulous.
I also love the burlap touches here and there and the shimmering white snow sprinkled throughout the table really gives you that wintery feel.
The ribbon and tulle added to the display pieces are the perfect accent to make the table a bit more feminine. And the burning candles give the table a nice, warm glow.
The white owls are just the cutest things! I love how they are placed sporadically around the table and party area. Paper snowflakes are perfect to dress up the water bottles and candles, and snowflake ornaments are strategically placed hanging from the chandelier and from the small branches on the table. I also enjoy the use of the blue and silver round ornaments as part of the backdrop and to embellish the serving containers.
Using part of a tree trunk to display the sweet treats also ads to the outdoorsy theme of the table. It’s absolutely beautiful, don’t you think!!?? Thanks for letting me share, Toni!
Now for something really fun!
Not only does Toni work full time and take care of 2 sets of almost twins plus her other 4 kids, she recently started a new business! It’s called Missionary Munchies and it’s an online store where you can purchase the most adorable gift baskets to send to a missionary in the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center. As you can probably guess, this fun business ideas was created while her daughter was on her mission. Toni would make the cutest gifts and deliver them to her daughter while she was in the MTC. She received so many compliments on them, she decided to turn her creativity in a business that her older kids could help with while in college.
What makes these gift baskets unique is they all have a really cool “theme” and they are put together very creatively with fun treats and surprises that those missionaries just love! Here are a few examples:
A lot of missionaries in the MTC are going to spanish speaking countries…this Fiesta package is perfect!
This BYU themed basket is perfect for the true blue BYU fans!
I love this CTR donut tower with Krispy Kreme donuts – yummy!!
Those missionaries really are ‘Superhero’s’ so they deserve a Superhero basket!
And for the sports enthusiast, this package has some sports equipment along with yummy snacks to share!
See, I told you they were cute, didn’t I!!?? There are more themes to choose from…I’ve just featured some of them here, so go check out the website so you can see all of the other fun gifts!

]]>So I’m probably the worst blogger out there since this is my first post in 2012!! But December was a VERY crazy month with 4 parties to plan on top of all the other usual Christmas stuff and I think I just needed a break for a while! I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year so far! I’ll have some fun Valentine’s Day posts coming up along with a free printable I created myself, so stay tuned!
We’re going to start 2012 with a post about another amazing party my sister-in-law created for her little girl who was turning 1 just about a week before Christmas. I love the theme she chose, which was a Winter ONEderland party with a woodsy feel. Winter birthdays can be a little tricky, but this is the perfect theme for a winter birthday party! She ordered her invitation and party printables from Dimple Prints on Etsy and carried the outdoor/winter owl theme throughout the party.
Starting with the dessert table, she found an old tree that had been cut down with a sign that said “Free Firewood” so she cut up pieces of the tree trunk and used the stumps to display some of the desserts…love it!!
Details of the dessert table include the darling cupcake toppers that the very talented Jill from Sprinklebelle Cakes created to match the party printables. They are just too cute!!
Other sweets included ONEderland dust (large pixie sticks) topped with owl printables from the collection, pink suckers embellished with a party circle in the middle, powdered donuts, icicles (rock candy), kisses, snow covered pretzels, chocolate nests and everyone’s favorite…winter oreos – yum!! The burlap and other natural-colored ribbon used to adorn the containers, the bamboo table runner and the “snow” around the stumps tied in perfectly with the party theme. And I just love the light-up branches she found at Target to add to the overall look and feel of the table.
The ADORABLE smash cake (again from Jill at Sprinklebelle Cakes) was displayed on a tree stump with snow.
Decorations included paper lanterns and snowflakes hung by various chandeliers throughout the house along with paper chains she made with scrapbook paper and white paper punched with snowflake shapes. A lot of work, but the effect was wonderful!
The party was a wonderfully huge success and everyone had a great time watching the birthday girl eat her cake (the best part, in my opinion)! Thanks for letting me share, Adriane
