Who’s watching the Oscars on Sunday, or even better, who’s throwing an Oscars party?? I usually watch the Oscars but I’ve never thrown an Oscars party…I sure think it would be fun though!! If you’re throwing a last-minute party, don’t worry, I’ve collected some FUN printables, and food & drink ideas for you to glam up your get-together!
Last year, Hostess with the Mostess created a modern black and yellow celebration with lots of fun printables including napkin wraps, popcorn labels, circle tags and has updated the movie titles for 2012.
Twig & Thistle designed a glamorous black and white Oscars party with tons of printables including an invitation, popcorn boxes, paper statuette, drink tags, tent cards and a voting ballot.
And if you’re looking for something a little more casual, these fun pink and black printables from Gwynn Wasson Designs are perfect!
Activities
To add a little competition to your party, you can play Oscar Bingo or have some voting ballots for guests. Whoever wins gets a fun little “swag bag” you’ve put together with some fun movie treats like popcorn, candy, a drink and maybe even some movie tickets!
Oscar Bingo you can download from BHG
Oscar Bingo & ballot from How About Orange
LOVE this Oscar bag and ballot from Studio DIY. Includes instructions on how to make the bag and printables for the oscar statue and ballot!
You need to check out this whole Oscars party created by glitter & ganache! I absolutely adore the glittered invites and voting ballot – both of which you can download.
Food+Drinks
Foodie Crush has done a very cool thing…they collected recipes from a bunch of food bloggers and each recipe represents a particular movie nominated for Best Picture – love it!! For example, Mini Hot Dog Rolls for Moneyball, Hawaiian Chicken BBQ for The Descendants, and Chocolate Pie for The Help…you get the picture. 😉 Here’s a collection of the recipes, so just go to Foodie Crush for a link to each of the individual recipes.
She Knows has done something similar with drink ideas to go along with some movies. Head over to She Knows for the drink recipes.
1. Moneyball beermosa
2. Tropical frozen Mai Tai
3. Minny’s s’mores martini
4. A Midnight in Paris bellini
I hope you all enjoy watching the Oscars on Sunday night! Do you have any fun plans to watch them with friends or family?

Hi Holly,
Have any cute ideas for a girls 9th birthday party? We are having a “Late-over” with a pizza and watching a movie.
