Election Campaign Fundraiser Event

April 24, 2012 by [email protected] 17 Comments

A few weeks ago a client asked me to plan a small election campaign fundraiser event she was hosting for people to get to know a candidate she felt strongly about.  I had a great time working with the red, white & blue patriotic theme!  I created a Pinterest board specifically for the event if you’d like to visit it for inspiration.  This theme is becoming more timely as we come into the summer months where we celebrate Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, so many of the ideas you see here could be incorporated into your next patriotic party!

The dessert table area was decorated with a patriotic fabric swag, balloons, tissue poms, and a printable banner.

At the center of the dessert table was a glass vase filled with some twigs painted white and red/white/blue stars hanging from the branches.  White flowers in simple blue and red containers added some additional color to the table.

The fabulous desserts were made by my friend Laura and were absolutely delicious!  Desserts included mini apple pies, mini fruit tarts, mini lemon bundt cakes, shortbread cookies with chocolate dipped strawberries on top, cream cheese custard tarts and mini chocolate raspberry truffle cakes.

Also on the dessert table were the take home favors – republican elephant sugar cookies and VOTE chocolate & vanilla cake pops both tied with a little tag to remind everyone who to support!

The main food buffet area consisted of various finger foods for guests to enjoy while visiting with Mia and others at the event.

Paper fans and lanterns in coordinating colors hung above the food area.

It was a great event and I couldn’t have done it without the help of fabulous vendors (see below) and friends!  I’m happy to report that Mia Love won the republican nomination this past weekend – yay!!

Vendors:

What a beautiful party! I love all of the red, white and blue details, especially the tags for the cake pops and the star tree centerpiece. The centerpiece is great inspiration as I work on designing a patriotic tablescape for Fourth of July. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats to you and to Mia! This is such a bright, beautiful party! I love the idea of spray painting the branches for the centerpiece white! And the food looked so beautiful against the decor. I am having a red, white and blue themed party for Memorial Day and July 4th and would love if you’d share this!

I LOVE this party! My mom wants me to do a party for her sometime and I was thinking it would be fun to create something like this for all the July celebrations we have as a family. It looks fabulous- and the desserts- oh my Goodness, they look so yummy!!
