Cinco de Mayo is less than a week away so if you’re planning a party to celebrate, I thought I’d share some fun ideas I’ve found on the web recently to help you create a great party! Last year I helped a friend with a Fiesta!-themed party so check out that post for some more great ideas. I also have a Fiesta! board on Pinterest for even more inspiration.
I spotted these fun chocolate red chili poppers in Family Fun magazine – they’re made from Tootsie Rolls & candy melts. Click HERE for the how-to directions.
Use these free Cinco de Mayo printables from Anders Ruff to dress up your party. There’s even a homemade salsa recipe to go with them!
I love this mini pinata made from a kleenex box at Studio DIY – so cute!
Alejandra from The Marshmallow Studio shows you how to make sombreros and sarape’s out of marshmallows at HWTM – very creative!!
Have the kids help you make these easy Easter egg maracas from Dana Made It to add a little noise to your fiesta! You could even use some washi tape instead of masking tape – that would be cool!
I had to show you these pinata cookies from She Knows – very time consuming I’m sure, but what a great idea!
Great Cinco de Mayo recipe roundup over at Six Sisters’ Stuff.
Check out this awesome Skippyjon Jones party that Brittney at GreyGrey Designs created for her son’s birthday – it’s full of great fiesta inspiration!
Will you be celebrating Cinco de Mayo at your house? I’d love to hear what you’re planning…let me know in the comments below!

These are some great ideas! I really like the egg maracas. What a cute and festive addition – plus kids can make them as an activity and then take them home. Thanks for sharing!
